Santa Fe cops and cowboys wrangle a parade horse on Canyon Road

What happened

UPI’s Ben Hooper, writing Sept. 17, 2026, relays a Santa Fe Police Department social post about a horse that fled while waiting for the start of the Desfile de La Gente parade. Officers on motorcycles and bicycles, animal services, and drone operators all rolled, and professional cowboys joined the chase.
